- Allow God to work and move. Stay humble. As Pastor Walter says, “If we let God move, we will see the things happen that we don’t think happen anymore.”
- Rely solely on the word of God and its power to drive ministry. God’s word stands on its own, it is sufficient, it still works.
- Identify and be aware of what is going on outside your church/ministry as it pertains to your congregation/audience. You have to make sure everyone is on the same page theologically and don’t assume everyone knows the Bible correctly.
- Christian maturity is a hallmark of being a successful minister. This always involves growth which at times can be hard. However, trials make us more able to relate to those we serve, and also strengthen our faith in God.
